// THE PAIN

Before the plugin enters the chat.

Heavy actor lifecycles get awkward when teams need a lighter representation layer before promotion is safe.

PAIN

Lightweight Dummy Actor System gives scene workflows a project-agnostic representation service so teams can register logical subjects, inspect readiness, and promote or demote them through explicit policy instead of ad hoc actor handling.

What that feels like

  • Representation state is hard to inspect before promotion.
  • Promotion and demotion rules get buried in local project code.
  • Dummy actor workflows need clear diagnostics and editor visibility.
// WHAT YOU GET

After — in the editor, not in a slide deck.

Keep logical subjects lightweight until policy and readiness say a heavier actor should take over.

GAIN

The package ships runtime, editor, and developer-tool modules for subject registration, readiness queries, dummy-actor representation, diagnostics, an editor inspector, and a validate commandlet.

  • Autark runtime representation service for dummy-actor workflows.
  • Explicit readiness and promotion/demotion policy gates.
  • Editor inspector and validate commandlet support for operators.
  • Online docs plus the six packaged buyer-doc files inside the plugin folder.

// FIT

Who actually reaches for this.

Scene teams that want a lightweight representation layer before heavy actors or gameplay systems should take over.

LDAS is designed as the Tiny Tools actor-representation bridge between scene runtime, future LightningCore entity representation, BPJ practices, and optional automation workflows. The core stays autark and WarCollection-neutral; WarCollection support is specified as an adapter/pilot that maps Experience, GameFeature, PawnData, PawnExtension, ASC, mesh readiness, authority, and replication contracts into LDAS readiness probes.

// SURFACE

Where it lives in Unreal.

Runtime, editor, and developer-tool modules plus the online overview and package docs.

// CAPABILITY MAP

Feature groups with the value of each part made explicit.

Grouped from plugin modules, public APIs, automation hooks, and documented workflow surfaces.

Keeps logical subjects separate from heavier actor lifecycles.

Makes readiness and promotion decisions explicit and inspectable.

Routes buyers to the public overview and the shipped package docs.

// TYPICAL FLOW

From inspection to use without losing the product boundary.

01

Register a logical subject and keep it in lightweight representation.

02

Check readiness before promoting or demoting the subject.

03

Use the inspector and validate commandlet to review the current state.
